PowerMid Bi-Power (Dual Power)
- Allows infra-red control of products in another room
- Allows you to hide away equipment in cupboards, and still control them
- Receiver either battery or AC adaptor powered (AC adaptors included)
- Includes Dual Stick-On Emitter

If you have speakers or TVs in a separate room from your stereo/VCR/Satellite
box, you know how inconvenient it is to adjust the volume, change channels,
radio stations, etc. Infrared (IR) remotes do not work through walls. You
have to walk into the other room any time you want to make a change. With
the Powermid Dual Power you can now control your equipment through walls up
to 40 feet away.
The Powermid Bi-Power is made of of two pieces:
The Transmitter, which is mains operation only. This receives your infra-red
command directly, then translates that into RF, and transmits that to the
awaiting receiver. The transmitter is sited in the distant viewing room
The receiver, which is mains or battery operated. This receives the RF
signals from the transmitter, and the translates them back to infra-red
signals to control your equipment directly. The receiver is sited in the
main room where the equipment is located
For peace of mind the transmitter blinks a red light to indicate that it is receiving your
command.
The PowerMid Bi-Power has the same functionality as the PowerMid XL.
The design and colour are different. The receiver of the PowerMid Bi-Power
not only works on the mains, but also on batteries, which is ideal when there
is no spare wall outlet close by. The package contains infra-red LEDs, which can
be used when you want to place the PowerMid Receiver out of direct line of
sight of your equipment.
NOT compatible with high frequency remotes (like B&O, Humax or Digital CABLE
box models Pace 1000, 2000, and 4000, and SA Explorer 4000DVB, 4200 - these digital cable boxes can be used with the
Red-Eye)

Does exactly what it says on the tin and does it very well. However, it could do with a remote sensor for the recieving part as well as 3 remote LEDs.
