Rako RF Dimmers/Switches ![]()
The Rako lighting control system can be used throughout any home in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, home theatres, halls, landings and even garden lighting. The equipment has been designed for ease of installation without the need for complete re-wiring. Because the system uses coded FM radio, control wiring is not required allowing push button controls to be mounted anywhere with out the need for expensive and disruptive building work.Interfacing with audio visual and other auxiliary systems is made easy with Rako's range of accessories. The system has fully programmable scene-set capability allowing different mood lighting to be selected at the push of a button. With a smooth cross fading between scenes true elegance is achieved. Below we have shown a typical lighting layout for a living/dining room. The scheme indicates how it is currently likely to be wired. On the second schematic we show how the Rako system can be implemented easily into the existing wiring with the minimum of disruption. RCP02
The RCP02 is a wireless 2 button wall mounted control panel providing 2 preset scenes. The RCP02 communicates with other Rako devices, such as the RD range of dimmer modules, using coded FM radio data transmission, ensuring reliable interference free operation. Rakom coded radio transmission eliminates the need for any data or power cabling ensuring that the system can be installed with the minimum of fuss and disruption. RCP panels are designed to be mounted anywhere, be it flush mounting to UK back-boxes or simply surface mounted to any flat surface using the patress provided. The universal backing plate even allows the RCP panel to be mounted over European back-boxes. Face plates come in a variety of standard finishes including: white, charcoal grey, brushed stainless steel, mirror stainless steel and polished brass.Key Features

The RDL500C is a single channel 500W dimmer module using state of the art dimming techniques. The RDL500C is designed to be ceiling mounted locally to the luminares and fits through a standard down-light cut-out. The compact design makes it easy to retro-fit making scene-set installation as simple as possible. The module is suitable for dimming resistive and inductive light sources such as tungsten, low voltage and cold cathode. Each unit stores, in non-volatile RAM memory, its user definable addresses; with up to 256 house and 256 room addresses the largest of schemes can be accommodated. The dimmer also stores it's own channel address (up to 15 per room) and 4 user programmable scene levels. The PILL is designed to fit into a standard UK or European backbox, and
requires no Neutral connection, yet has full RF receiving capabilities and
the same programmability as other Rako system components. The PILL dimmer is
usefull for installations where fitting a standard Rako dimmer is difficult.
eg Reto fitting to control wall-lightsThe PILL dimmer can be controlled from any rako transmitters such as RCP wallpanels, RAH hand helds, timeclock and forms an integral part of a Rako scene set system. The PILL dimmer can also be controlled from a simple momentary switch giving On/Off/Bright/Dim control allowing cost effective extra panels. Control from simple panels still allows the dimmer to be controlled as part of an overall house control system with master Off and macro command response. 50mm x 50mm x 19.5mm MB1
The MB1 can provide complete timed control of every light and motorised curtain in your home!Curtains can be opened or closed, lights can turned on or off all under the control of an astronomical clock that precisely understands the location of your home and how this affects sunrise and sunset times. The centralised controller allows timers to be individually set for each room, providing total flexibility in day-to-day operation. Possibly the most ingenious feature within the MB1 is its "Holiday Mode". The MB1 will monitor and record two weeks of lighting and curtain operation. When you go away on holiday, simply press the play button, and all of your lights and curtains will be automatically operated as if your home was still occupied. RAPIR
The RAPIR 240V motion detector module allows scenes to be selected automatically via movementIn factory default setting, the unit will select scene 1 and off with a timeout of 5 minutes When configured with the RASOFT programming software, it is possible to select which scene is activated and modify the timeout period. The RAPIR also listens to RCP push buttons wall plates, to enable and disable the PIR motion function when not required RAVFR
The RAVFR is a volt-free closed contact to Rakom interface. This allows you
to use non Rako products to control the Rakom network. Easily attach motion
sensors (so the lights turn on automatically when you enter a room),
or use momentary switches, computer interfaces, floor mats, door sensors,
etc. The unit features 7 contact closure inputs, emulating a standard
7 button Rako controller - 1-4, fade up/down and off. The time-out
period (delay until the lights are automatically turned off can be
set from anywhere from 1 second to 36 hours. Requires 10572 AC AdaptorRAVIR
The RAVIR is an infrared to RF interface to convert infrared control signals
to Rakom RF. Designed to be located out of sight along with other audiovisual
sources it creates a link between infrared based controllers and Rako RF
based receivers. Each unit comes complete with an infrared receiver head
located at one end of the unit, under the translucent protective cover. This
can be removed and mounted remotely using a 3 core cable, to hide the RAVIR
module. The unit accepts standard Philips RC5 codes. The RAVIR infrared
gateway allows scene control from hand held infrared remote controls,
multi-room audio systems and other systems that have IR control outputs. In
factory default setting, the unit will control a single room with Scenes 1-4,
Off and master raise & lower. Requires 10572 AC AdaptorRAB100
100m RAKOM radio signal repeater. This unit acts as a signal repeater for any
RAKOM messages within a house effectively boosting the system range. With two
external aerials the unit can boost system range to 100m. On receiving a
coded Rako radio signal command from a scene control panel, remote unit or PC
or other Rako device, the unit re-transmits the signal. Ideally located
centrally within a large project the unit has two external aerials for
receive and transmit. Note: The unit only re-transmits messages from the same
House address and only one RAB100 unit per house is permissibleRACUB
Integrate the control of curtains, blinds, screens and any closed contact
operated device into one single wall panel available in 3 and 6 button panels.
The RACUB module takes care of the motor switching and can be activated from
any of the Rako controllers including the wall panels, and timeclock. Can be
setup to operate as a momentary switch via the RASOFT software
