Global Comms Loftbox Expander ![]()
The Loftbox Expander has been designed to allow two LNB outputs to be
connected to an existing
Loftbox distribution system. It is ideally suited for use when a Sky+/SkyHD receiver is being installed which requires two feeds from the dish but there are no spare cables running to the Sky box to take the extra signal feed. Note you require access to the second LNB output from the dish and run this to the Loftbox Expander in the loft. This system is NOT suitable for installation in a property where the dish is shared with other occupants (ie a block of flats) The unit operates by adding the additional dish signal onto the returning UHF cable between the RF2 port and the UHF2 port on the Loftbox. A DIP1 diplexer is required in the living room in order to successfully extract the second dish signal ready for connecting into the satellite receiver. Note that the instructions for the Diplexer are not that clear on how to connect the unit up, so please follow this: Diplexer IN connection BACK TO Loft box UHF2 (or to the "Return" Socket on the faceplate) Diplexer SAT connection feeding TO Sky+ LNB2 Diplexer TV connection FROM Sky+ RF out To connect the DIP1 to the Sky box you will require 2 x 10597 cables, and a 12170 Adaptor. From the DIP1 to the Faceplate you will require a 10596 cable.
