The unit gives superb picture and sound quality output. Tested and works great with SkyHD Note the signal is not converted into an IP based signal. It merely uses the CAT5 cable for transport. You cannot route the signal via an ethernet router or switch etc Unit is externally powered at each end, with mains operated AC Adaptors, which are included. Wall mounting brackets are included FAQ Q. The LED doesn't light on the transmitter/receiver, is the unit faulty? A. No. The LED will only light up when a valid, and switched on, HDMI source/monitor is attached Q. I keep losing the picture/sound. Is the unit faulty? A. No. We found the issue with this was that our SkyHD box was set to output 1080i, when our TV was not 1080 capable. We changed the SkyHD box to output 720p and then everything worked perfectly  Approved
