This is a high-performance converter that converts an HDMI signal (up to 1080P) into a CAT5 cable signal allowing the signal to be sent up to 50 metres using inexpensive CAT5 computer cable. The unit gives superb picture and sound quality output
Note the signal is not converted into an IP based signal. It merely uses the CAT5 cable for transport. You cannot route the signal via an ethernet router or switch etc
