Choosing whether to install AD10's or LD11's

Be careful when deciding whether to use AD10 or LD11 modules for your lights.
In our own installation we installed mostly AD10 modules, but later found
we wished we'd installed LD11's. Although LD11's are physically bigger
than AD10's, and therefore require extra room for installation, the
added functionality is well worth it. Being able to dim and brighten
the lights is a real bonus, as is the silent operation of the LD11.
AD10's contain a large relay which allows them to control high currents,
whereas the LD11 contains a triac which allows the LD11 to dim/brighten
and also to turn on and off silently.
Obviously you must never use a LD11 for controlling appliances as they
will draw too much current and fuse the module. It is also inadvisable to
dim any appliance as the transformer inside might not be able to cope with
the voltage drop and blow up !!
