LW10U Light Switch
The LW10U wall switch/dimmer is designed to replace wall switches that control room lights. It should be used for incandescant lights only between 60W and 300W (Please note the minimum rating of 60W). A Neutral connection is not required for this module so it should easily replace your existing light switch.
To turn a light on or off, press the rocker switch for a moment either upwards or downwards. To brighten or dim press and hold the button either upwards or downwards. When the unit is turned off from a dimmed position, it will always return to full brightness the next time you turn it on.
Responds to direct X10 commands, and also to All Units On/Off
THIS UNIT IS A DIRECT SWAP FOR A UK LIGHT SWITCH. SIMPLY TAKE OUT YOUR EXISTING LIGHT SWITCH AND WIRE IN THIS UNIT. YOU IMMEDIATELY HAVE X10 CONTROL OF THE LIGHT !!
This unit must NOT be used with Low Voltage Halogens, "Energy Saving" lamps, flourescent lights, or LED bulbs. SERIOUS damage will occur to the module causing it to melt, if you attempt to wire it to an incorrect style bulb. It is only suitable for "normal" household lights (with filaments in) and mains halogens.
If you need to control LV Halogens or dimmable LED bulbs then you should use an LD11. LV Halogens, Energy Saving lights, flourescent lights and non dimmable LED bulbs should only be controlled with an AW10 or AD10.

Q: How do I take the cover off?
A:There's a knack to it really
I use a small flat blade screwdriver (blade being about 4mm wide)
Looking at the unit from the front, insert the screwdriver by the hinge "lug" on the right, and pull to the right, whilst twisting it round/up and the rocker should pop off
Putting it back on again, I use my hands, and put it in the left hand hinge, whilst trying to push the middle of the rocker (so it might "U" in shape) and then click it into the right hand hinge
